MicroDysis developed a peristaltic micropump for a portable liquid delivery device. The pump uses an exchangeable and disposable tube cartridge where a flexible silicone tube is compressed by a series of shoes to induce liquid flow. The micropump is self-priming and requires little or no maintenance. The only material in contact with the liquid is the silicone tube, which makes wide fluid-compatible applications. The micropump can work alone with 3V battery power, or be controlled by a microprocessor for flow rate and programmable liquid delivery. MicroDysis' micropump provides a unique miniature fluidic solution for lab and drug delivery applications, not only in its reliability, accuracy, small size, and low power consumption, but also in its unique design for consumable tube changes.
