MicroDysis, Inc., is a start-up technology
company that develops biomedical devices and biotechnology. To
rapidly and inexpensively make microfluidic devices and
integrate microsystems, MicroDysis developed and patented new
microfabrication technology. This technology, known as 3
Dimensional micromolding (3DM), is inexpensive, simple to
operate, and reliable. With such technology, any
microstructure is able to be created, such as microchannels,
microchambers, and interface. The company is capable of
achieving medical device and microfluidic device design and
fabrication, and biomedical and analytical instrumentation
design and production.
MicroDysis has developed the smallest
peristaltic pump in the world. The micropump can be
used in lab liquid delivery and drug delivery, especially
for a portable device that requires the pump to be
battery-operated. The actual size of the micropump is 18 x 14 x 12
mm and its flow rate ranges from 1 ml/min to 1000 ml/min. The micropump can work alone with
power connection, or be controlled by a computer or
microprocessor for programmable liquid or durg delivery
system.
MicroDysis is developing a reliable and
flexible biochip platform technology for the medical genetic
analysis and diagnosis booming in next few years. This biochip
technology, named as Field Programmable Biomolecular Array
(FPBA), will dramatically reduce sample and reagent
consumption, decrease analysis time, eliminate false, and
increase the speed and sensitivity of the measurements. The
products provide a unique advantage for array customization
and analysis of multiple samples or targets on the biochip at
the same time and at the same situation.
